DC Industries developed and implemented the Veteran Training Program to provide necessary training to veterans interested in expanding their skill set. This program was designed with a skill-focus to prepare for an introduction into the information technology field.

After several iterations of our program we have redesigned it to include current DoD and active-duty military. The idea behind this incorporation is to help foster innovation and ideas that help aspiring Veterans gain the knowledge and skills to become successful in their new career venture. Together with our experienced instructors, we hope that the diverse classroom environment will provide opportunities for discussion and hands-on activities to promote growth in several of the IT competencies presented in the CompTIA Core Program.

The following courses are incorporated into DC Industries’ DoD|Veteran Training – CompTIA Core Program:

• CompTIA A+ Skills (5 Days) & A+ Skills Lab (2 Days)
• CompTIA Network+ (5 Days) & Network+ Skills Lab (2 Day)
• CompTIA Security+ (5 Days) & Security+ Skills Lab (2 Day)

This program is structured with five days of lecture and two days of lab. The lecture portion of the courses focus on the knowledge and skills necessary to introduce individuals in the program to the IT field. The labs help to further enforce the ideology introduced in lecture. While the focus of the CompTIA Core Program is skills, exam study materials and tips will be provided.

The price of this program is $1,000.00 per course. The cost of the Network+ and Security+ certification exams are included in the program price for Veterans. For current DoD employees and active-duty military, the cost of the Network+ and Security+ certification exams are not included in the program price; however, they will have access to a discounted exam voucher when purchased through DC Industries.
