Threat Actor Targeting and Exploitation – Cyber Espionage: A Virtual Reality Class

Course Title: Threat Actor Targeting and Exploitation - Cyber Espionage: A Virtual Reality Class

Session(s): 5 Sessions

Class Time: 8:30AM-4:30PM

Course Overview:

This course begins with understanding one’s own network, through the process of Cyber Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (CIPE). Only by understanding one’s network, can the analyst understand how the Threat Actor sees their target. Extending this approach, the analyst will conduct both defensive and threat offensive operations to determine how best to secure the environment. This includes identifying targets within the network (Threat Actor perspective) and selecting security controls to prevent exploitation (defensive perspective). Finally, the student will conduct a significant portion of the associated lab work in an interactive Virtual Reality environment.
